COVID-19 has impacted the lives of many in in the Pittsburgh are. As the situation continues to evolve, Pittsburgh Divorce & Family Law, LLC wants to reassure our clients and the community that we are taking this situation seriously, and putting safety measures in place that prioritize the health and well-being of our clients and staff. We also want to ensure you get the answers and consummate legal guidance you expect.

As a firm, we are carefully monitoring and adhering to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Pennsylvania Department of Health, other government agency guidance, and staying abreast of any changes or updates.

Attorney Anthony Piccirilli and our staff have been advised on the practical measures to help stem the tide of COVID-19, including regular hand washing, the use of hand sanitizer, frequently disinfecting commonly touched areas, and social distancing whenever possible. We will be available via telephone, email, and responding to online submissions.

Current Pittsburgh Family Court Closures

The courts in Allegheny County are operating on a very limited basis, particularly Family Division, which is essentially shut down for most purposes other than PFAs and emergency matters. The relevant Allegheny County Court Order is available here.

Courts in the surrounding counties are handling this crisis in various ways, but delays and continuances are expected. and we are doing our best to stay up to date in that regard.

Please note that in some instances, and in some counties, court dates may still proceed as planned. Therefore, If you have legal proceedings scheduled in Allegheny County or a surrounding county, reach out to us to discuss how the closure affects you.

With the current situation many people have pressing concerns about their custody and child support hearings being postponed. We understand the position you may be in, with little to no access to your children and without a timely hearing to award visitation.
